No Opportunity for High School
Children are left with no opportunity for a high school education, without the assistance of outside organizations like YouMe Support Foundation, who is giving away a South Pacific island resort for just $US150, to raise funds.
Later this year someone will become the proud new owner of Seachange Lodge, Port Vila, Vanuatu when YouMe Support Foundation announces the winning ticket on http://winaresort.com. Early Bird Prizes will give a lucky person up to $1000 cash. This boutique resort http://www.seachangelodge.com will change hands for just $US150 dollars, in order to raise funds to supply non-repayable high-school education grants to high achieving students from a geographically and economically disadvantaged area. Early Bird Prizes will give a lucky person up to $1000 cash.
“Many or our students will never have a chance to go to high school, unless we get financial assistance from somewhere,” Mr Harris Apos, the Area Secretary said. “They will never have the opportunity to live their dreams of being a mechanic, school teacher, doctor, or nurse, because we get very little assistance from the government and we have no cash economy on the islands.”
An exercise book is shared between three pupils. Pencils are broken into three to give the children something to write with. Often there are no classrooms available, or fully qualified teachers. Many parents cannot read or write. You can find more details at http://youmesupport.org
Since 2004 guests to Seachange Lodge have helped the proprietors , Rick and Wendy Tendys, to send desperately needed school supplies to these far flung islands.
Recently when a cyclone struck the island community, they appealed to the government for help. They were told ‘The government would look into, but there are no funds in the budget for natural disasters’. Food would run out in just two weeks unless they get aid.
Without outside assistance, these communities are left to battle on their own. Through this news release, YouMe Support Foundation is asking for assistance to help these people, who were claimed in 2006 to be a part of the ‘Happiest Country on Earth’.
